While I’ve previously stated that Jason Kidd is miscast as savior in Dallas, Devean George could end up being the one keeps Big D from blowing its future–but don’t count on it, sorry, Mavs fans.
Although Devean George has momentarily blocked the rumored Jason Kidd-to-Dallas trade, there’s no reason to fret. A quick glance at the trade machine shows several ways to fix the problem, although the easiest move would be to sign Keith Van Horn (unofficially retired, so he’d have no problem picking up a free check to simply sign a contract and subsequently go back home) to replace George in the deal. The great thing about all this fuss is George would actually be doing the Mavs a favor–they just don’t know it yet. Oh well.
