It’s been a while since I’ve had time to write anything, thanks to that pesky thing called school and spring training in Tampa last week, but now that I’m back in Boston I’ll get my act together.
I wanted to follow up on my post about Florida Panther netminder Craig Anderson by noting that he followed up his historic run with another solid performance in his next game, saving 25 of 27 shots of goal. And yet, he hasn’t played since.
The reason is Tomas Vokoun.
Prior to Anderson’s brief stint as starting goaltender, Vokoun had lost six games in a row, and during that time compiled an .887 save percentage. Since his reinsertion into the starting line-up, Vokoun has won four in a row, operating at a .942 clip.
Looks like the Panthers have an embarassment of riches in net, now it’s time to find some help on the rest of the roster.
